Donexa ("we," "our," or "us") operates the OpenCarenet CHE application. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, manage, and protect your information when you use our mobile application, particularly regarding the strict handling of sensitive health information.
OpenCarenet CHE is designed for Community Health Workers to collect Electronic Health Records (EHR) and clinic management data. The app collects:
Due to the nature of operating in areas with limited internet connectivity, OpenCarenet CHE stores patient data locally on your device in a secure, encrypted format using industry-standard AES encryption.
Once an internet connection is established, this data is securely transmitted via HTTPS/TLS protocols and aggregated with centralized databases (specifically utilizing interoperability with DHIS2 and OpenClinic GA). Data is stored on secure, government or organizational-approved servers corresponding to your health district. We employ strict access controls to prevent unauthorized access.
We respect your right to control your data. Since OpenCarenet CHE operates primarily as an offline-first tool, most sensitive data remains on your physical device until synchronized.
To reset the application to its original state via your phone settings:
Note: Aggregated, anonymized health data previously synced to national databases (like DHIS2) may be retained by public health authorities for epidemiological tracking, as permitted by law.
If your data has already been synchronized (aggregated) to the central server and you wish to have it removed from the organizational database:
info.donexa@gmail.comPlease use the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We will coordinate with the relevant health district authorities to process your request within 14 business days.
We absolutely do not sell, rent, or trade patient data. Data collected via the app is only transmitted to authorized national or organizational health information systems configured by your deploying health organization.
If you have any questions or suggestions about our Privacy Policy or data handling practices, please contact us securely at info.donexa@gmail.com.
